SPLat Happenings newsletter December 2003

This newsletter is sent to anyone who has expressed interest in SPLat programmable controller products. Subscribe/unsubscribe instructions.

The year is drawing to a close and here in southern Australia the heat of summer is starting to be bite. Last night Melbourne sweltered in a minimum overnight temperature of 26°C (82°F), but I reckon that's easily preferable to shoveling snow like some of my friends in the northern USA and in Canada!

We've had a busy year here at SPLat, with several new expansion boards added to the range, and quite a few new "embedded" features in our controllers. There have also been several custom SPLat controllers designed which I can't brag about publicly. In addition to that we have added considerably to the store of SPLat support resources, with such things as the SPLogger data logging program and our new tutorial on multitasking. Our ongoing aim is to empower you, our users to make better control systems for your products, not only through the products we sell but also by relevant instructional materials and other support resources. For the new year there's an exiting new controller at the "white-board" stage, an expansion board with 160A switching capacity and some very neat new firmware functions that will be done as soon as we can find the time.

I hope your year has been as productive and rewarding as ours, and wish you all the very best for the coming year.
