Tech Support: Communicating with PC

Michael asked:

I have a new CC16. Is there a means of online communication with a PC? For Data Acquisition, setting control parameters, MMI connection etc.

Hi Michael,

The CC16 has ModBus RTU Slave. It is documented here. SPLat/PC installs a worked example in Visual Basic 6 in the folder

C:\Program Files\SPLat\SPLATPC\examples\ModBus\BasicModBus.VB6

You can network our controllers to each other very easily and inexpensively using Xwire.
