MMi upgraded

Back in 1998 we designed the first SPLat with a built in operator interface (OI, HMI). Little did we realize at the time how successful the product would be, how many competitors would emulate the concept of a controller with on board OI and user legendable graphics overlay and how may direct successors it would have.

The MMi product has been designed in to a large number of OEM products world-wide, from industrial laminators to pump controllers.

Now there is a new, improved family member.

The new MMi202 is mechanically and electrically compatible with its 4 predecessors. It takes advantage of a new upgraded microcontroller chip in the Motorola family we use, and delivers a number of feature improvements over the MMi201. The main improvements are

  • 10-bit analog input and output resolution (vs 8-bit);

  • 8 medium speed (1.8kHz) frequency/counter channels;

  • Approximately twice as fast.

The new chip also has a lower EMI, although EMI has never been a real issue with our controllers.

Product pricing remains the same. We will be shipping MMi201OEM (the bare board OEM version) while stocks last, but all other versions are now the new board. Details here
